Hi, I’m Lauren. I paint and upcycle furniture to give it a whole new life. My journey started back in 2015 when we moved into a 1950s house that came with all its original furniture. At first, I saw it as practical, but once I picked up some paint and started experimenting, I was hooked. Pieces that seemed tired suddenly had colour, personality and character again, and I realised I’d found something I truly loved doing.

After a little pause while raising my family, I picked up my brushes again in 2020. I joined a group of painters from around the world, and their creativity reignited mine. Since then, I’ve been painting furniture that celebrates its history while giving it a modern twist. For me, it’s about more than furniture – it’s about transforming something overlooked into something that feels special again.

 

Speciality

One of the things I love most is working with original Olympus pieces. These British-made designs, first introduced in the 1950s, were inspired by French classics and built with real attention to detail. They’ve stood the test of time, and I enjoy restoring them while adding my own contemporary finish to make them shine in today’s homes.
